About the Event
Thank you to the generosity of Salvation Army, Logan Communities for Children, the team at Pathways to Resilience will be delivering a parent workshop at Curious Me, introducing Neuroscience concepts and practical strategies to support children.
Overview
In this workshop families will be introduced to key Neuroscience concepts, providing a lens through which to view a child's development and behaviour. It will explore the growth of healthy brains and practical applications which support children's wellbeing, build resilience and help to create a positive home environment.
Outcomes
- An understanding of the manner in which the brain develops and how to support healthy brain development.
- The importance of the attachment relationship and its' implications at home and in early years settings.
- Strategies to help children when they become overwhelmed, based on our understanding of the brain.
Attendance
This is a 2 hour workshop that will be delivered in 2 x 1 hour session increments.
Date: Thursday 12th October and Thursday 26th October, 2023
Workshop Time: 9:30 am -10:30 am
You must be available to attend both scheduled sessions.
Places are strictly limited to 15 attending adults, plus their children.
